Student Advisory Board

The Wharton AI & Analytics Initiative Student Advisory Board is comprised of a diverse cohort of undergraduate and graduate students who take on leadership roles within their respective student club(s). Their responsibilities include gathering student feedback, fostering engagement, and disseminating resources to enhance the student experience and increase access to AI and analytics opportunities and resources at Wharton.

Bruno

Bruno Basner, W’26

Bruno Basner is a junior at Wharton, concentrating in Statistics and Finance. He is the Co-President of the Wharton Undergraduate Sports Business Club (WUSBC) and is keen on pursuing a career that combines his interest in sports and statistics. Outside of WUSBC, Bruno serves as the Internal Vice President of the Assembly of International Students (AIS) and the President of the Penn German Society. In his free time, he enjoys supporting the German soccer team Borussia Dortmund and watching Formula 1.

Katherine Comer

Katherine Comer, W’26

Katherine Comer, W’26, is studying Statistics at Wharton. She currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Wharton Sports Analytics Journal and is passionate about connecting talented students with an avenue to showcase their novel findings in sports research. In addition, she heads the Penn Sports Analytics Group Baseball Committee, where she works to provide the Penn Baseball team with performance and scouting insights and works on her own sports research projects through the Wharton Sports Analytics and Business Initiative’s Sports Research Seminar. Also, around campus, Katherine is a part of the Wharton Undergraduate Sports Business Club and Women Who Lift at Penn. In her free time, she can be found watching a new show or getting in a workout!

Nick DiStefano

Nick DiStefano, WG’25

Nick is a Wharton MBA candidate majoring in Marketing & Operations and Statistics & Data Science. He currently serves as co-president of the Wharton AI & Analytics Club. Prior to Wharton, Nick was a Data Science and Analytics Manager at Wayfair. Most recently, he joined the Enterprise Analytics team at BJ’s Wholesale, pursuing a passion for applying analytics, data science, and AI to improve shopping experiences for everyday needs. Beyond analytics, Nick enjoys golfing, hiking in national parks, and going to the movies.

Sophia Feldman, C'25

Sophia, originally from Venezuela, is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Cognitive Science with a minor in Consumer Psychology. She is interested in how neuroscience can explain decision-making, and the applications of brain-machine interfaces. As president of the Wharton Neuroscience Initiative Student Society (WiNSS), she cultivates a community of students who are interested in the intersection of brain science and business. Outside of WiNSS, Sophia is Co-President of Jewish Latinos at Penn, she is involved in Wharton Latino, and is a Research Assistant at the Wharton Behavioral Lab. In her free time, Sophia enjoys running, drawing, and exploring new restaurants in Philly!

Ignacio Hounie , GrE’26

Ignacio Hounie, GrE’26 is a third-year doctoral candidate at the University of Pennsylvania in the School of Engineering and Applied Science. His research primarily focuses on optimization, signal processing and statistics applied to Machine Learning, and has published several papers in the area. He is always enthusiastic about recent developments in ML and Data Science, and how these tools can help design complex real-world systems. He is originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, where he obtained a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from UdelaR, and then worked as a data engineer at MontevideoLabs.

Rishabh Mandayam, M&T’25

Rishabh Mandayam is a senior in the M&T program studying CS, Finance, and Statistics. This will be my third semester in WAF. I was previously on the FOX team doing an analysis of blockchain transactions and on the Align team building predictive models for their marketing campaigns. Outside of WAF, I am a member of Penn Quant’s Strategy development team and a board member of the Penn Central Banking Club. I also am a member of Penn Judo and play intramural soccer in my free time!

Victor Porsenna

Victor Porsenna, WG’25

Victor Porsenna is a Wharton MBA Candidate majoring in Business Analytics and Statistics and Data Science. He is currently the co-president of the Wharton AI & Analytics Club and was a past participant in the Analytics Accelerator program as a business engagement lead. Prior to Wharton, Victor served in the U.S. Army as an intelligence officer where he led multiple teams to leverage data in support of operations. When not engaged in academics or extracurricular activities, Victor enjoys reading nonfiction and sci-fi, cooking Haitian food, and running.

Alok Shah

Alok Shah, SEAS’26

Alok is a CIS and Math major from Pittsburgh, PA. He currently leads MLR@Penn and is a past member of Franklin DAO, Engineering Consultants at Penn (ECP), Wharton Undergraduate Fintech Club (WUFT), and Diversatech. Outside of class, he spends the majority of his time researching ML and is fascinated by the growing synergies between academia and AI startups. In his free time, he loves history/geography trivia, traveling, trying new food trucks or restaurants around Philly, and burning off those calories by playing pickup soccer at Penn Park.

Neha Upadhyaya, WG’25

Neha Upadhyaya is a Wharton MBA Candidate majoring in Statistics & Data Science. She is currently the Co-President of the Wharton AI & Analytics Club and a Researcher with the Wharton People Analytics Moh Foundation Applied Insights Team. Prior to beginning her MBA, Neha worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte. In her role, she focused on leveraging analytics and design principles to create human-centered strategies within the Technology & Media sector. Raised in the Twin Cities, Neha graduated from the University of Minnesota where she conducted research on local community development efforts in economically isolated neighborhoods. In her spare time, Neha enjoys reading fiction and philosophy, practicing embroidery and ceramics, and making her own coffee and kombucha.

Aashika

Aashika Vishwanath, SEAS’26

Aashika is a junior in the School of Engineering, studying Computer Science. She is from Issaquah, Washington, and has been a part of WUDAC for 4 semesters now. A new skill she would like to learn in her free time is how to solve a Rubik’s cube in under 1 minute, and her favorite city she’s visited so far is Cancun, Mexico!

Annie Wang, W’25

Annie Wang is a senior in Wharton and the College interested in statistics, finance, and math. This is my sixth semester in WAF and I’ve worked with Zillow, IKEA, and Philadelphia Orchestra/Kimmel Center. In addition to WAF, I’m also involved in WiCS, WUREC, and Penn Chamber. In my free time, I enjoy playing music, making art crafts, and journaling. I’m so excited to work with everyone and look forward to making WAF an amazing experience alongside the board!

Clarice Wang

Clarice Wang, SEAS’26

Clarice Wang (SEAS ’26) is an undergraduate from Palo Alto, California, studying Computer Science. In addition to her involvement with PDSG, Clarice participates in the Analytics Accelerator program, serves as a Senior Analyst for Engineering Consultants at Penn, and creates crosswords for The Daily Pennsylvanian. In her free time, she enjoys playing guitar, hiking, and tackling all the NYTimes mini games.

Jon Wu, SEAS’25

Jon Wu is a senior in the School of Engineering & Applied Science studying Systems Engineering and sub matriculating in Data Science. As WAF’s Vice President of Social, I hope to bring together the WAF community so the organization can thrive and better serve its clients. My previous projects on WAF include Teach For America, McDonald’s, and Master Kong. In addition to WAF, I’m involved with the Engineering Deans’ Advisory Board and am passionate about utilizing advanced analytical methods to solve business and management problems.
