The inaugural Wharton AI & Analytics Initiative (WAIAI) Research & Education Symposium will be held on October 11, 2024, at the University of Pennsylvania. This event is an opportunity to hear about emerging AI and analytics research funded by WAIAI and to explore its transformative impact on business, society, and beyond.
Over the past five years, Wharton AI & Analytics Initiative (WAIAI) has awarded more than $1.7 million in funding to support 100+ projects across 14 academic departments and research centers, empowering researchers with the resources to drive innovation.

- Hear from Experts: Researchers from across Wharton and affiliated centers will share their latest findings in AI and analytics, discussing topics ranging from AI and societal disparities to policy and regulatory implications of AI.
- Featured topics include: Debiasing and Transparency in AI, Generative AI’s Impact on Learning and Reasoning, Fairness, Ethics, and Human-AI Collaboration, AI in Specialized Domains, Legal and Copyright Issues in AI
- Engage in Thoughtful Discussions: Presentations will be followed by Q&A sessions, allowing attendees to engage directly with academics and peers in the field.
- Explore Future Opportunities: Learn about ongoing and future WAIAI-supported projects and discover opportunities for collaboration and further research.

The symposium will run from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM, beginning with breakfast and registration at 8:00 AM, followed by a 1/2 day of presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities, concluding with a networking lunch ending at 1:30 PM.
