The inaugural Penn AI Governance Workshop will bring together researchers from across the university working on responsible, trustworthy, fair, and safe artificial intelligence.
This workshop is designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and leverage Penn’s strengths in AI and governance research. In addition to mapping relevant faculty expertise, we aim to spark new research initiatives and cross-disciplinary partnerships.
The workshop is free and open to all members of the Penn community, including faculty, researchers, students, and staff.
— Event Timing and Format —
The Penn AI Governance Workshop will take place from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and will feature panel discussions, lightning talks, and networking opportunities, culminating in a reception from 4:00 to 4:30 PM.
The workshop brings together leading Penn researchers to explore key topics, including AI Safety and Evaluation, AI Policy, AI Ethics and Responsibility, and Teaching AI Governance at Penn. Throughout the day, panel discussions will be interspersed with lightning talks from researchers.
